Keratosis And Pre-Malignant Skin Conditions
Skin cancers often start as changes to the appearance of your skin or an exisiting skin lesion, and are particularly common in fair skinned people. Pre-cancerous lesions, changes that are not cancer but could very well become cancerous over time, exist as horny, hard or roughened skin or a darkening area of pigmentation.
Solar Keratosis is typically a small, scaly patch of skin which is usually caused by too much exposure to sun. It is generally found growing on the head, neck and hands, although it may be found elsewhere. Keratosis is sometimes classed as an early warning sign of skin cancer, but it’s tricky to tell whether a specific patch may continue to alter over time, becoming cancerous. Most will not, but it’s recommended assessment, and treatment if required, is sought early to prevent the development of cancer.
Mr Coady offers treatment for Keratoses and other pre-malignant skin conditions. Often, these can be non-surgical. You should book a consultation in order to find out more about Keratosis And Pre-Malignant Skin Conditions and which treatment is the best option for you.
