Breast Augmentation Revision
Breast augmentation revision surgery is different to standard breast implant surgery as it’s specifically designed to change an existing enlargement or correct a previous procedure that is cosmetically unsatisfactory, has been problematic, or rarely, poses a health risk to the patient. Mr Coady has experience in dealing with PIP, hydrogel and soya oil filled implant revision.
This type of breast surgery generally involves removing and/or replacing existing breast implants with the aim of correcting a specific problem or complication. Generally the most common issues include capsular contracture, deflation of implants, rippling, and in extreme cases, implant rupture.
This procedure can also be offered to patients with displaced or rotated implants that may have left the breasts misshapen or uneven.
During revision procedures there is a much greater requirement for placement of implants partially under muscle and for you to require skin tightening surgery (mastopexy) at the same time. Mr Coady will explain your options in detail before surgery.
Dr. Coady ensures that the procedure is done proportionally, tailoring the process to the specific needs of the patient.
He will advise and demonstrate this procedure with the patient to guarantee that they get the result they desire.
The size, shape, position and anything else will be discussed so that the patient gets breasts that look and feel natural.
